Minister in the Ministry of Works and Supply  Hon. Mike .I. Mulongoti Minister
Hon. Mike .I. Mulongoti was appointed Minister of Works and Supply in October 2008. Prior to his appointment, Hon. Mulongoti served as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Defence and Security from 1996 to 2000, Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2007, Chief Whip - National Assembly of Zambia, Chief Government Spokesperson and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services from 2007 to 2008. Hon Mulongoti holds Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) (From University of Zambia), Post Graduate Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from Napier University. Before joining politics, Hon. Mulongoti worked for Government and Parastatal companies and held various management portfolios. He is currently a business man and sitting Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lufwanyama constituency. Hon. Deputy Minister Honourable Dr Christopher. K. BUILDINGS DEPARTMENT Mr. Ngulube, Director Buildings Department Eng. Whytone Ngulube joined Buildings Department on 1st August 1984 and before joining the Department he worked for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) Luanshya Division from July 1979 to November 1982 and ASCO Consulting Engineers in Lusaka from December 1982 to May 1984. Eng. Ngulube holds B.Eng and B.Eng (Hons) in Civil Engineering which he obtained from the University of Abertay - Dundee ) formerly Dundee Institute of Technology) in Scotland, United Kingdom. PLANNING AND MONITORING DEPARTMENT Ms. Bupe Kaonga, Director Planning and Monitoring Department An Economist by profession, Ms. Kaonga joined the Ministry in November 1998 as Assistant Director (Economics) in the Planning and Monitoring Department. She was appointed Director of Planning and Monitoring in 2002. Before joining the Ministry, Ms. Kaonga worked as Principal Economist in the Ministry of Communication & Transport and Senior Economist Lusaka Province in the Regional Planning Office. She also worked as Economist at Cabinet Office and as an Assistant Manpower Development and Training Officer at the Department of Manpower Development and Training (DMDT), now Directorate of Human Resource Development (DHRD) where she joined the public service in 1985. Ms. Kaonga holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics which she obtained in 1991 at the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign, U.S.A and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Zambia. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management which she obtained from the Maastricht School of Management, Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1997.
